Atmos
Dolby Atmos allows you to experience multi-dimensional sound with incredible clarity that envelops you in an immersive soundscape.
We produced this short artist profile featuring Drum and Bass artist, Metrik, to showcase Dolby Digital’s new Atmos sound system. Metrik was in Chicago for a show at Soundbar, which had recently installed a full Dolby Atmos sound system. Atmos uses 13 different speakers to create an incredibly immersive sound experience. Metrik’s Drum and Bass music was a perfect use for the technology. His interview really shows his love for Atmos in addition to his understanding of how to leverage technology for a more immersive experience. His interview was recorded at the legendary Chicago Recording Company in downtown Chicago, where we captured b-roll of him using top of the line studio equipment with some of his own music. Additional b-roll was filmed around River North to anchor the piece to Chicago and match an urban aesthetic to Metrik’s music and artistic philosophy.
The main event was of course Metrik’s show at Soundbar. We worked with Soundbar’s production team to make sure the lighting would look good on camera, while still providing the exhilarating club-going experience one would expect from a Metrik show at Soundbar. The result is a great branded piece featuring some beautiful live performance footage and a great testimonial case study for Dolby’s Atmos sound system.
